Members of the Clerk’s Corps will provide their assistance to the different departments including Information Technology, Courts, Finance, and Administration. A wide range of volunteer opportunities is open for any interested applicants such as:

  • Clerical projects – filing paperwork, back scanning of court files, sorting, assembling and organizing materials, routing and delivering documents, etc.

  • Legal Research
  • Policy and procedure documentation
  • Technical Writing
  • Financial projects – accounting and/or auditing

Volunteers who are interested in applying must be detail-oriented, have friendly customer service, and have a passion for helping individuals gain greater access to government services. Katrina Miller, Clerk’s Corps Volunteer in the Courts Division

“I began volunteering with the Clerk of Court after relocating to Southwest Florida earlier this year.  Volunteering is a great way to use my legal experience to support my new community – and observing interesting hearings and trials keep things fun.  I continue to be impressed at the good work being done around the court and am proud to be a part of it.”

Kim Porter, Clerk’s Corps Volunteer in various Divisions

“I started volunteering for the Collier County Clerk of Court in December of 2021.  After three years of retirement, I decided it was time to use some of my work experience.  The experience has been rewarding and everyone has been very welcoming.  I have been able to volunteer in different departments of the organization and have enjoyed meeting and learning about the government operations.”
