The Juvenile Department maintains all the Official Records pertaining to all Juvenile Court pleadings and petitions applicable to a child, under the age of 18, as outlined in the Florida Statutes, specifically Flordia Statute 39 for dependency and Florida Statute 985 for delinquency.
Dependency: All matters relating to juveniles who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected surrendered for the purpose of adoption, or who are persistent runaways, habitually truant or ungovernable.
Delinquency: Any person under the age of 18 who has committed a law violation.
ALL JUVENILE RECORDS ARE CONFIDENTIAL
Due to the confidential nature of the juvenile and dependency cases, only limited information is provided over the telephone. To obtain information a person must first appear in person, with photo identification such as a FL driver’s license. Information is provided only to the juvenile, the Attorney of record, and parents. |
