On November 3, 1998, the voters of the State of Florida passed Revision 7 which amended Article V of the Florida Constitution. Article V deals with the state's Judicial Branch. Significant changes in the way the Florida courts are to be funded were among the changes made by Revision 7. The Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court's funding changes for the Judicial Branch went into effect on July 1, 2004.
